HISTORY: Enjoy a climb up 217 steps to
the tower of Barnegat Light (also known as Old Barney).
It is found on Long Beach Island, the Barnegat Lighthouse State
Park. The tower rises 165 feet and is red and white. It was used
as a lookout during WWI and was restored in 1988. The original 40
lighthouse was built in 1835 to mark hazardous shoals. The Fresnel
lens can be viewed at the nearby Barnegat Llghthouse Museum. The
lens is formed from 1,024 separate prisms. Barnegat light is listed
on the State and National Registers of Historic Places and is open
year-round.
STITCHING INFORMATION: Stitch count: 73
stitches wide x 120 high. Our model was stitched on a 11
x 15 piece of white 14-count AIDA fabric. This design can
